About Us

In 1952 William E. Kennedy, Jr created Steel Tank and Fabricating Corporation (STAFCO). STAFCO was primarily used to satisfy the increasing needs for the petroleum industry. Our main focus was underground tanks for gas stations. STAFCO now has the ability to manufacture tanks up to 42,000 gallons in both vertical and horizontal configurations.

In 1985 Carl T. Norris was hired as the General Manager and currently is the acting Vice President and General Manager of STAFCO. Through the years STAFCO has changed and expanded its product lines in an effort to satisfy the ever-growing regulatory demands and customer needs. As STAFCO grew and the demands exceeded the time Carl had available, the need for a person to handle production was evident. So in 1990, Carl hired Mike Reed as the Production and Engineering Manager. Both Carl and Mike are still active in the day to day operations of the company as well as the long range planning. In 2003 due to increasing sales, Terry Joker was hired to handle sales on tanks and equipment for the oil industry. As STAFCO continued to grow and our capabilities expanded, Ron Trocchio joined the team in 2007 to focus on industrial tanks and fabricated products.

Today Patrick W. Kennedy, the great grandson of founder Patrick Washington Kennedy is the fourth generation Kennedy owner and is President of STAFCO.
